Instead of wrapping it around the unicender would you be able to add a rope wrench into the system or something similar to add the additional friction and then use the device to control your descent?

I have used the Petzl ZigZag for years and love it- it’s smooth and easy to use. I just bought a Rock Exotica Akimbo and I love the design and concept, I especially like 2 things over the ZZ- having it midline attachable and having a short form factor that makes it possible to do spar work without having the length of the ZZ chicane setup jabbing me and preventing me from reducing my fall factor. Both great devices, and look forward to using the Akimbo more often

Does the MA system that you show in this video lock in place when you pull on the rope. So theoretically when the tree is falling, it couldn't pull the rope and fall in an unintended direction, right?

You should pull the hoolijicky through the gumshoe, then tighten the wirlgiggy.

Seems 100000 x easier to go up the tree with spikes and a wrap around cable/ rope. Especially because you have noooo idea how strong that branch is that is holding your life…

Technically, I believe that is a "French Prusik," which is a "Valdotain" with ONE braid. Love your videos! The final braid was hard to see, so it might have just been a Valdotain!

And how to take someone down if he hasn't tied a rescue knot on the working rope? I would use a system of two doubled Prusiks. to which I would attach a lifeline. What do you think about it?
